I know what you are thinking. The holiday season is less than six months away. Why in the world would I make plans for the holiday season?
Let me answer your question with a question. Do you want to be stressed out trying to plan everything at the last minute, or would you rather have things perfectly set and ready with only a few final touches to make when the season is here? The second option works best for me, and it can for you too. Here are two major reasons why you should plan for the holidays ahead of time.
1. Stress Free Off Season Sales
Sure you can wait for those big fall or winter seasonal sales that everyone waits for: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the end of the year sale.
But often times, items are limited that are on sale, and the frenzy of shopping often just makes you tired. You may even buy something just because you missed out on the product sale you really wanted and needed. Then, you get stuck trying to make the product (you did not originally want) work for you.
Take it easy on yourself. Shopping off season sales for products you want and need can really help limit your holiday season stress. You can feel at peace knowing you don't need to go out to battle the rest of the frenzied holiday crowds or sit waiting for websites that crash.
2. More Free Time in Your Holiday Schedule
You get back a few extra hours that you would have spent shopping. You could throw a party, attend a party, watch a movie or enjoy a play. If you have little ones, maybe you can make your own holiday play. But before that time, you will be hiding the gifts while everyone else is unaware.
